You walk up a mountain that has two paths. One path leads to the other side of the mountain one leads to certain death. two brothers know the correct path however one always tells the truth and the other always lies. You may ask only one of the brothers one question, what question will get you to the other side of the mountain safely?

Gah this riddle drives me nuts!
I remember it, you ask one brother "what would your brother claim to be the safe path"

assume its path 1 is safe

Lier: Knows brother would tell the truth so he lies and says "path 2"
Truth Teller: Knows his brother would lie and says "path 2"

No matter what brother you asked take the other path!
